Again, happy new year to
all. I hope this year is fruitful,
successful, and full of hope and fun!
A note of reminder to all
pilots using the Rancho Tehama Airport runway.
Please use frequency 122.9 to announce intentions for arrival and
departure. Some residents living on the
runway monitor the frequency and can be a very good resource for identifying
potential hazards on the runway such as the medi-vac helicopter, pedestrians,
or animals etc., and this can only make it safer for all.
I’m sure the residents of
Rancho Tehama appreciate the fly-friendly practice of flying the pattern
appropriately. Fly a right hand pattern
for runway 27 and a left hand pattern for runway 9. Be reminded that there are
no lights, so no night and no touch and go operations are allowed. It is helpful to maintain noise abatement by
keeping all pattern operations to the North of the runway. Thanks for following these preferred
practices.
Non flying residents of
Rancho Tehama may grant permission to pilot friends and relatives to land at
the ranch to visit. The tie down parking
area is located at the East end of the runway directly behind Camelot Realty.
