Did
you notice? I changed the name of the
news article back to the ‘Airport News’.
The previous change to ‘Airpark News’ from ‘Airport News’ seemed to be a
catalyst for some to think that something sinister was going on. Not at all, I just thought the term airpark
more closely reflected what is actually there; a flying community, homes and
hangars with direct access to the runway for their airplanes. . Homes and hangars with direct access to a
runway is an amenity that adds value to the community and the association, as
well as for individual lot owners in that area. If calling the area ’airport’,
rather than ‘airpark’, makes for better relations, then that is an easy fix.
The
association board of directors deserves kudos for the repair and securing of
the gate to the maintenance path near the runway next to Camelot Realty, thank
you!
We
need to be reminded of the need for safety for all, by not walking, riding
vehicles, or equestrians on the runway.
This is very dangerous for all.
Please help us help you to stay safe!
With the new year upon us, I
wish all pilots and their passengers safe flying in the bright sunshine and
calm winds, keep the shinny side up, runway ahead of you, lots of altitude, and
friendly tailwinds forever!
From Anecdotage.com:
Shortly before takeoff one
day, a flight attendant approached Muhammad Ali and politely asked him to
fasten his seat belt. Ali, never noted for his modesty, refused:
"Superman," he explained, "don't need no seat belt."
"Well, Superman," the stewardess smartly replied, "don't need no
airplane!"
[Ali fastened his seat belt.]
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE!
